Meet the Leadership Team

Miranda Wilsnagh

Miranda our COO is a search & selection Specialist with 25 years’ experience in business ownership and various recruitment & leadership roles in the UK and SA. Miranda has considerable experience in Consulting with Global Clients to improve operations, talent management processes and implementing strategies for sustainable growth. Miranda has a deep understanding of the challenges faced by HR Directors and C-Suite Executives, and knows how to help them using a consultative-approach, identifying problems by asking the right questions, taking the time to understand the requirements and demonstrating value throughout the resourcing cycle.

Miranda’s IT & CyberSecurity experience started 2002 securing an elite SOC team for a leading CyberSecurity client placing 100% of vacancies retained for. There isn’t a rare CyberSecurity Candidate Miranda and her team can’t conjure up, drawing on a 20-thousand strong LinkedIn network, our reputation and client base, to access the very best candidates in the market. Providing skilled resources in the Cybersecurity space, we work very closely with our clients to cover all areas of Information and Cybersecurity, servicing international leading companies across a number of market verticals including global management consultancies, market leading security vendors and global BlueChip Organisations.

Lester Little

Lester is a thorough and tenacious Headhunter that delivers results. He has over 18 years’ experience implementing solutions to his clients Executive hiring challenges which span cross sector, discipline and continents in countries such as Australia, Dubai, South Africa, USA and the UK.

Lester is a true Search specialist and is able to deliver “cream of the crop”, passive talent shortlists for Specialist, Management and Executive requirements to a range of clients from “Startups”, SME and “Blue Chips” to advance their business and manage any potential hiring risk.

Lester’s work has always encompassed helping Corporate clients place key roles that they have not been able to source solutions for, as well as investment grade specs whereby the acquisition and attraction of the markets top commercial and technical talent is required to accelerate performance, change and deliver on ROI expectations.

He has now joined Avatar Recruitment as part of a dynamic team that provide superior talent acquisition and delivery services to clients within the Technology and Financial Services Sectors, locally in the UK and abroad.

Lester is always happy to network with potential clients and career seekers who are welcome to get in touch to arrange a friendly and confidential discussion regarding their career and hiring needs. Chris Dyckes

Chris started her career in retail culminating in an operational role where she worked alongside HR both in the recruitment and training of staff. Her role gave her the opportunity to work with IT, Finance, Marketing and Customer Services, along with Distribution and HR to communicate effectively across the business, understanding the synergy required to work as a team.

A change of career led her into the recruitment industry where it seemed there was a natural progression into the specialist sector of accountancy. Her strong interpersonal skills, dedication to quality service, industry knowledge, along with a successful record of recruitment and managing teams led her set up Avatar, providing support to both clients and candidates with a personal touch as well as a caring and quality driven approach to her work as stock standard.

Chris is now an Associate Director with Avatar subsequent to the collaboration with Skye Business Solutions this year. We are very excited about the future; with the growing team and renewed energy and focus we can only but do great things moving forward.

Chris has worked at all levels of recruitment from global companies to SMEs, even including The Prince of Wales Office. Chris is happiest when she is able to share her expertise including employee law and market insight.

William Wilsnagh

William has over 30 years’ business experience with more than 20 in business ownership and various executive leadership roles as MD, COO / CEO & Non-Exec across Information Technology, Recruitment, as well as Executive and Commercial Management industries; delivering sustainable growth in businesses operating in SA, UK, Europe, and the Americas.

William moved into IT early in his career, completing many international IT certifications as well an MSc in Information Systems and currently an MSc in Executive Coaching & Behavioural Change. Probably the most enjoyable part of William’s day is when he wears his Executive Coaching and / or Business Advisor hat, making a difference at a really strategic level.

William’s CyberSecurity experience started as Director of Software Solutions & Information Security at Altech NamITech, with both the 7x24x365 secure operations centre (SOC), first in Africa; and the Verisign 14-tier Trust Centre issuing advanced digital certificates, falling within his remit.

William’s experience also includes recruitment, onboarding & deploying of CFO’s, FD’s & COO’s placed with businesses throughout the UK.
