Role: Credit Analyst – Asset Underwriting
Salary: £30k – 35k + benefits
A globally recognised Brand is seeking a Credit Analyst to join their organisation within their Finance division of Financial Services based in Milton Keynes.
Reporting to the Credit Director, the role will involve supporting the Senior Credit Analysts, underwriting support to a portfolio of dealerships, working within the banking regulations and Compliance Guidelines and Policies.
This will involve complex financial analysis, assessing and preparing funding proposals for new and existing dealerships, analysing financial and non-financial information including management accounts, balance sheets, cash flow statements and profit and loss accounts.
Your role will be to make recommendations based upon in depth analysis and communicate to Senior Management both in the UK and Europe with accompanying reports. Monitoring early warning signs relating to dealer connections in financial trouble is essential, followed by precise and immediate action in line with procedures. In addition you will be monitoring existing exposures via monthly composite information, stock audit performance, over-limits/overage reports and the Dealer Risk Lists. Production of reports in line with International Bank Regulatory Reporting requirements are also essential, especially to support month end procedures and report to Group for the department, ensuring all relevant legal documents including facility letters is sought and managing the relationship with the key dealer personnel, involving occasional client visits is also essential working closely with the Credit Manager, understanding the needs of the dealership and developments.
Previous experience in Wholesale Asset ideally in the motor industry with experience in underwriting with a mandate, is essential, along with a minimum of five years experience as an analyst within the Financial Services/Banking industry, ideally educated to Graduate/Professional level of qualification.
The ability to analyse complex financial data including cash flow, balance sheet and ratio analysis and produce appropriate recommendations is mandatory. Self-motivation and strong commercial decision making skills are key along with confidence and excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure, prioritising your own work flow. You will also have knowledge of company law, the Enterprise Act and Dealer Corporate failure policy.
