One of the fastest growing businesses in the region is looking to recruit a new member to the senior management team. We manufacture and sell a unique team communication solution that enables retail clients to provide the very best in customer service and business efficiency. Our customers include some of the biggest names in UK and European retail such as Tesco, Wickes, Halfords, Homebase and Bauhaus.

This new role is all about managing our growth. You’ll be responsible for manufacturing, implementation, customer support in fact almost everything other than sales, marketing, product development and finance! The role:

  • This is a key position within the management team
  • You will be required to manage and lead production, implementation and service
  • Constantly review working practices to establish if the current ways of working are delivering the desired results and if not, devise and implement an improved way of working
  • Make sure all operations comply with local, national and European regulations
  • Maintain and support good business relationships with all business partners, suppliers, team members and customers
  • Oversee the recruitment, selection and training of new team members
  • Manage a robust and effective complaints and customer satisfaction process to highlight and promptly resolve any issues
  • Design, develop and deliver management reports
  • Ensure the company retains it’s ISO accreditations by ensuring that required processes and procedures are followed during daily operations
  • Ensure appropriate H&S processes and procedures are in place to guarantee that all employees/contractors are fully compliant and operate in an approved and safe manner
  • Putting in place the systems and processes to manage the trebling in size of the business.

Key requirements

  • Reporting directly to the CEO
  • The successful candidate will be a knowledgeable and experienced Operations leader with experience of being hands on with day-to-day responsibilities, while at the same time supporting the business strategically
  • You will ideally be degree educated
  • A natural leader and commercially astute
  • Your exemplary skill set will include managing people, project management, quality control, attention to detail and finance
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or technology environment is preferred
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to liaise with clients at a senior/board level
  • Ability to grasp technical solutions is a must
  • Some UK and overseas travel may be required
